  • Service refers to the Domainyze web application.

  • WHOIS/RDAP Data refers to publicly available information about domain name registrations obtained through WHOIS and RDAP protocols. This data may include, but is not limited to, registrant contact information (name, organization, address, email, phone), administrative and technical contacts, nameservers, registration and expiration dates, and domain status codes.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Collecting Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data You Provide to Us

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Billing information (processed by our payment provider, Stripe)

We also collect and store WHOIS/RDAP Data for the specific domain names You choose to monitor through Our Service. This data is publicly available and is collected directly from WHOIS and RDAP servers.

Information from Third-Party Services (Analytics)

We use third-party analytics services to understand how users interact with our Service, improve user experience, and optimize our features. These services collect data directly from Your browser or device:

  • Google Analytics: Collects data about Your usage of the Service, such as pages visited, time spent, and interactions. This data is anonymized where possible.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Collects data on user behavior, including heatmaps, session recordings, and user flows, to help us identify usability issues and improve the Service's design.

Using Your Personal Data

The Company may use Your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • For Service Improvement and User Experience: To analyze usage trends, identify areas for improvement, and enhance the overall user experience. This includes using data from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
  • For the Performance of a Contract: The development, compliance, and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items, or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service.
  • To Contact You: To contact You by email, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, regarding updates, security alerts, or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services.
  • For Compliance and Security: To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the security and integrity of our Service. This includes adhering to WHOIS/RDAP policies and preventing any malicious or unauthorized use of the data.

Specific Use of WHOIS/RDAP Data

The WHOIS/RDAP Data we collect is used exclusively for the purpose of providing our domain monitoring service. This includes:

  • Determining the current status of a monitored domain (e.g., active, expired, pending delete).
  • Identifying key dates such as registration and expiration.
  • Extracting registrar information and nameserver details.
  • Triggering alerts based on changes in domain status or availability.

We explicitly state that we do not use WHOIS/RDAP Data for marketing purposes, nor do we engage in any malicious use or activities that violate WHOIS/RDAP policies. This data is processed solely to deliver the core functionality of the Service you subscribe to.

Sharing Your Personal Data

We may share Your Personal Data in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share Your Personal Data with service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to process payments, or to contact You. These include:
    • Google Analytics (for website analytics)
    • Microsoft Clarity (for user behavior analytics)
    • Stripe (for payment processing)
  • For Business Transfers: We may share or transfer Your Personal Data in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.

WHOIS/RDAP Data for monitored domains is retained for as long as the respective domain is actively monitored by You through the Service. Upon deletion of a monitored domain or termination of Your account, this data will be removed in accordance with our data retention policies.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect Your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

For WHOIS/RDAP Data, while the data itself is publicly available, we apply the same security standards to its storage and processing within our systems as we do to other Personal Data.

Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)

We are committed to respecting Your data protection rights. Depending on Your location, You may have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: The right to request copies of Your Personal Data.

Regarding WHOIS/RDAP Data: While this data is publicly available, we respect your rights concerning any personal data we store that is linked to your account or monitoring activities. You can manage your monitored domains directly within your account dashboard.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let You know via email and/or a prominent notice on Our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
